Easy Smash Burger Tacos

These Smash Burger Tacos are the ultimate flavor fusion that combines juicy burgers with taco convenience! Made with a perfectly seasoned 80/20 ground beef blend, these easy tacos are topped with melted cheddar cheese, fresh lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and crunchy pickles. 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend for optimal flavor and juiciness)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

8 small taco-sized flour tortillas

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded lettuce

1 medium tomato, diced

1/2 cup pickles, sliced

1/4 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons mustard

2 tablespoons ketchup

Optional: chopped onions, jalapeƱos, or hot sauce for extra flavor

Instructions
 

Prepare the Beef: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

    Heat the Grill/Skillet: Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. If using a grill, prepare it for direct cooking.

      Form and Smash: Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions (about 4 ounces each). Roll each portion into a ball. Place each ball on the hot skillet or grill and smash it down using a spatula, forming a thin patty. Sear for about 2-3 minutes until the bottom is browned.

        Flip and Finish: Flip the patties and top each with shredded cheddar cheese. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the burgers are cooked to your desired doneness.

          Warm the Tortillas: While the burgers are cooking, warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until soft and pliable.
