Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium)

4 cloves of garlic, minced

1 tablespoon ginger, freshly grated

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons water

Salt and pepper to taste

Green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a large bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, apple cider vinegar, and sesame oil. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2 hours for deeper flavor.

Cook the Chicken: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Remove chicken from the marinade (reserve the marinade for later) and season both sides with salt and pepper. Place the chicken thighs in the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through.

Prepare the Sauce: While the chicken is cooking, combine the reserved marinade with cornstarch and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.

Glaze the Chicken: Once the chicken is cooked through, pour the thickened sauce over the chicken in the skillet, ensuring it's evenly coated. Let it cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to glaze the chicken beautifully.

Serve: Transfer the glazed chicken to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot over steamed rice or alongside your favorite vegetables.
