Honey Pepper Chicken Mac and Cheese

2 cups elbow macaroni

1 lb chicken breast, diced

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup honey

1 tablespoon black pepper (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 cup chicken broth

1/2 cup milk

Salt, to taste

Chopped green onions or parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

    Prepare the Chicken: In a skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the diced chicken, and season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Sauté for about 7-10 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and no longer pink inside.

      Make the Honey Pepper Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to low. Add the honey and chicken broth, stirring well to combine. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 2 minutes.

        Cheese Sauce: Stir the cream cheese into the honey pepper mixture, mixing until it melts and integrates smoothly. Gradually add in the shredded cheddar and mozzarella, stirring continually until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add milk a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.

          Combine Ingredients: Add the cooked macaroni and sautéed chicken to the cheese sauce. Stir gently to ensure all the pasta and chicken are well coated with the sauce.
